Google will send people looking for information on a topic to the highest quality, relevant pages it has in its database. Most webmasters believe Google crawls their website in one go and will continue until everything’s crawled. An authority website doesn’t necessarily have to be one of the usual big publishers. If you’re a niche website or blog with high quality, relevant content, you can be as highly regarded as any other source. Fundamentally, SEO is a marketing discipline, not a technical one meaning that an understanding of basic marketing principles is essential. Nothing is more important to a successful marketing strategy than a strong understanding of the audience you are looking to attract.
The myth of free and fast traffic
Links aren't everything in SEO, but search professionals attribute a large portion of the engines' algorithms to link-related factors. If you are
writing a blog for a brand-new website that has no authority, chances are that nobody will find this on Google. It is the equivalent of writing a great book but it’s not in any bookstores, so people can’t find it and therefore can’t read it. SEOs have tried many ways to sneak in links. One of the more creative ways was to embed a link into an infographic. When people would copy the infographic because they liked it, they were also copying links. Widgets were also used this way. No one appreciates them. Ensure the number of new site visitors arriving via organic search is growing, month to month and year over year.
The first indication should be hosting location
A page that doesn’t meet the needs and expectations of users will never achieve strong user signals. Because it’s not answering the right questions or providing the right information, users will quickly abandon your page in search of a more useful one. One of the
best ways to captivate and ensure visitors come to your new site is to make sure it’s fully loaded with engaging content right out of the box. Use attractive subheaders: Readers should be able to bounce around to seek out the pieces of your content that interest them. By using attractive subheaders, you can pique the curiosity of your readers and keep them engaged. Keyword page density is a measure of the relative frequency of the word in the text expressed as a percentage. For example, if a specific word is used 5 times on a page containing 100 words, the keyword density is 5%. If the density of a keyword is too low, the search engine will not pay much attention to it.
Never ever sacrifice the quality of your copy for the sake of the search engines
The best practice for internal linking is to think primarily about the user experience. Organically link to assets in a way that streamlines the buyer’s journey. Let’s begin with something practical – think of all the important topics our website is about. Don’t try and come up with every keyword variation, but do group your ideas in topic buckets – each bucket covering a page or closely related set of pages. SEO is the process that brings traffic to a website, but if you can’t convert that traffic into a sale, email subscriber, etc., there is no point in having it in the first place. Gaz Hall, from
SEO Hull, had the following to say: "A cornerstone of effective SEO is producing quality content, and understandably, that can be difficult for marketers or business owners busy with other things."

Make sure that the pages on your site are well-linked to each other, particularly the ones you want to appear as sitelinks – Google takes the number of internal/external links into account when judging the importance of pages for sitelinks. Monitor the keywords,
the site’s stats, the levels of engagement on each topic and find what users really expect from your page. Once you’ve started your local SEO effort, the next stage is more aligned with the rest of SEO – creating content for your audience. In this case, we’re looking to create content of interest to a local reader. By correctly using header tags in the following order H1, H2, H3, H4 all the way to H6 (if necessary) when inputting copy, you’re helping crawlers navigate each page of your site easily and understand its content. Heading tags are also a great way to break up the copy on your page to make it more readable for your visitors.
