Standard SEO advice is to keep the site architecture as flat as possible, to minimize clicks from the home page to important content. Do not go off the deep end, though; too many links on a page are not good for search engines either. A simple seo rule – use keywords in the text of page links that refer to other pages on your site and to any external Internet resources. Keywords in such links can slightly enhance page rank. The text of the link helps provide Google additional context about the topic of the linked page, i.e. what keywords that page should rank for. So links that contain keywords related to what you sell or where you’re located – and even links for your brand name – are going to help you rank. You may not want certain pages of your site crawled because they
might not be useful to users if found in a search engine's search
results. If you do want to prevent search engines from crawling your
pages, Google Webmaster Tools has a friendly robots.txt generator to
help you create this file.
Link from authoritative posts to your product or service pages
Search engines place a lot of weight on the content of each web page. After all, it is this content that defines what a page is about, and the search engines do a detailed analysis of each web page they find during a crawl to help make that determination Even though it
is not a surefire indicator of ranking potential, I still hold that it is important to first look at competitor’s DA when starting your SEO analysis. In my opinion this will allow you to gain at least some initial visibility into your ranking potential. Machines are writing stories and that is often something Google is not a fan of. Google is trying to better understand the semantic meanings of words by looking at how they appear in knowledge bases on the web, and understanding the properties associated with them from those knowledge bases, and also looking at the words that tend to co-occur on pages that rank highly for those words as query terms.
Keep your title tag under 55 characters
Local sponsorships can be another course of action for building local links. You can sponsor or donate to any local club/organization or society. Also, you can choose to sponsor a meetup group. How do you
work out the price of SEO packages? The goal of SEO is not to generate traffic but, rather, to generate sales leads and e-commerce revenue. Google historically has looked for ‘exact match’ instances of keyword phrases on documents and SEO have, historically, been able to optimise successfully for these keyword phrases – whether they are grammatically correct or not.
How will SEO help my business?
If you're willing to vouch for links added
by third parties (e.g. if a commenter is trusted on your site), then
there's no need to use nofollow on links; however, linking to sites
that Google considers spammy can affect the reputation of your
own site. Users searching for your site on Google might not necessarily want to land on your homepage. Any time Google opens up the vault and gives a peek inside the mountains of data it has at its disposal, marketers would do well to pay attention. We asked an
SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "High-speed keyword research is keyword research that’s focused on quickly assessing which words are most viable to optimize website texts for. Without doing proper keyword research, your content SEO strategy could well be completely worthless."
Grooving to the Search Engine's tunes!
Links within long-form, evergreen content are also more valuable than links in short, news-based posts. Make sure that
your website’s main menu only features the most important categories. Make sure all the links are no follow if you are being paid by a third party to publish a post on your blog. The backlinks which are paid are punished by Google. It applies for both, the page giving it and the one receiving it. Search engines are very clever in reading every little detail about your web page in order to rank all the sites that they store. It is advisable therefore to get some structure in your website files, rather than having them all loose in one huge folder.
