I'll go more into depth below with specific tactics on linking out, but in general, you only have something to gain when you’re linking out. If you've recently added a feature or new site design it could be it's slowing the site speed down or causing other problems. Pick your permalink structure wisely. Don’t change your permalink structure for the sake of it. Incorrectly redirecting your old URLs to the new URLs might lead to problems and could get you dropped from the rankings. Search Engine Optimization requires the inclusion of popular (highly searched) or profitable (highly searched just before buying) words into headlines, copy, and other page elements.
