Any link to another part of the same site is called an internal link. As well as links you'd expect to find (within a site menu bar, for example) you can also create internal links by linking to past posts within newer ones. If you have different sections of your site, or domains for each country, enter
each one in the relevant directories: Google Places, Bing Business Portal, or
any other directory that’s relevant to your region. Include any keywords you want to rank for in the title tag. The closer to the start of the tag the keyword is, the more likely that your page will rank for that keyword Google is getting better every day at recognizing—and rewarding—high-quality content. As defined by Google and humans, valuable content is useful, informative, better than other content on the same topic, credible, original, and engaging.
Usurp The SERP
As you create content for your website, link to other pages on your site within your content. Use anchor text that uses the page’s target keywords or phrases that explain what the page is about. Search engine optimization is
often about making small modifications
to parts of your website. When viewed individually, these changes
might seem like incremental improvements, but when combined with
other optimizations, they could have a noticeable impact on your
site's user experience and performance in organic search results. While many old-school SEOs believe that link building techniques are now largely ineffective (or at least less effective than they once were), links are still critical to getting high rankings. So content marketing is one of the 3 main pieces to SEO, but has been around for longer than SEO because of things like Michelin Stars and Guiness Book of World Records, which were essentially ingenious examples of content marketing for the tire company and the beer company respectively.
Avoid SEO Attacks
Be careful in monitoring your comments and delete those which you think are linked to spammy sites or to the blogs which are not of your niche. If you are linked to other sites which are of not your niche, those sites can harm you. Search engines have made
it clear: a vitally important part of the future of search is “rich results.” You want to make sure the pages of your website provide great value and are optimized for the keywords you want to rank for. Of course, it is important to have a mobile-friendly website as well. Social signals aren’t an important part of the Google algorithm. But social shares on sites like Facebook, Twitter and Google+ may give you an indirect rankings boost.
Authority flows through the links on your website as well
Long Tail Keywords are long and very specific keyword phrases that the customer generally uses when he is nearing his purchase stage. Trying to rank for very broad keywords like ‘furniture’, ‘online shopping’ is a very difficult task. In fact if you know how to optimize long tail keywords, you can get good rankings on SERPs. They are less competitive to optimize for. The average top-ten ranking is two or more years old and the average age for the pages in the number one position is roughly three years old. As search engines evolve, they take an even more human approach to website analysis, making remarkable, valuable content the No. 1 SEO influencer. Whether it’s an image, video or words on a web page, awesome content — content that’s unique, useful and meets the expectations of web visitors and search engines — drives search rankings. We asked an SEO Specialist
, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "If your site has a blog with public
commenting turned on, links within those comments could pass your
reputation to pages that you may not be comfortable vouching for. "
Indexing requirements often conflict with aesthetic requirements
As long as you provide products and/or services at a physical address or to a physical address, and that address is registered, you can set up a Google Places accounts. By telling Google this, you can be listed in the Google Places section of the search results. More and more customers are looking for a local supplier, so getting this right is a must if you want to be successful within your location. Social media sharing has
become immensely powerful, and you simply can't afford to ignore it. Make sure that every element of every page's URL is clear and descriptive, and include simple ways for visitors to share what they've discovered with their peers. A good search agency will help you to create a site that is easily accessible from all platforms, increasing your reach and authority. Besides studying your web analytics data and using
keyword research tools, there is another very simple
research method: Use the search engine itself to do
keyword research. The more fresh, engaging and authoritative content on your website the better regarded it will be by search engines.
