Keywords are still an important part of SEO, but relevance can often be figured in more abstract ways. Creating evergreen content is as simple as staying away from topics that no one will care about in the foreseeable future, and focusing on keyword research. Use sub-directories rather than sub-domains when possible. Sub-domains do not share link love from the main domain as it is treated as a different domain. Increasing your search visibility is a good thing, clearly, but it takes a lot of time and effort to accomplish those rising rankings, and there’s no guarantee how much extra traffic they’re going to send your way.

Adopt a responsive design

A simple site map page with links to all of the pages or the most important pages (if you have hundreds or thousands) on your site can be useful. Creating an XML Sitemap file for your site helps ensure that search engines discover the pages on your site. So you want your site to be among those most relevant for the keywords relevant to your business. Ideally you want to be towards the top of the first page of the search results as people do not often look further than that. Include the right rich snippets, don’t add schema.org markup just to inform Google about all the other stuff you do. When I am reading articles, therefore a potential consumer, I have no idea whether a link is follow or nofollow. Clearly, a huge majority of people will not have the slightest idea that such a distinction exists! If I am intrigued by what is written about your product or service, I will click. If I really like what I see on your site, I may buy. The type of link will not be in my thoughts.

Optimization ensures the Website publishes unique, valuable content

Google’s Search Console (previously known as Webmaster Tools) and Analytics are both incredibly valuable tools for optimising your site and monitoring its SEO success. You may usually think about linking in terms of pointing to outside websites, but paying more attention to the anchor text used for internal links can help users and Google navigate your site better. When writing an article or some content for your web page, remember- ‘spices add flavour to a dish and make it more appealing to our senses. In the same way, keywords are like spices to our content. Keyword density is good but, to create rich content, there should be variety in the keywords used. Duplicate content refers to a webpage’s content that appears in more than one place on the internet.

Praise and Link

Did you migrate from HTTP to HTTPS or are planning to do so? If so, it’s best to monitor after so you can gauge the impact on rankings and traffic. Sometimes you might spot a particularly juicy keyword when conducting your research. But just because a keyword has high volume, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be a good one to rank for. Don’t change your URLs if you don’t have to. Certainly, don’t modify URL structure for minor tweaks. Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant, commented: "Adjusting your keyword distribution gives you power to change your campaign over time."

Make Sure Redirects Persist

One of the most common problems that I hear from people looking to learn more about SEO is that they don't know what information to trust. It’s important to make sure that the site you’d like a link from has a a number of DoFollow links from authoritative sites. Authoritative sites are typically well known within their niche and have a large audience and backlink profile as well, they can also be large news websites. If the website you’re targeting has a lot of links from authoritative sites, then it’s a good sign. he no follow link tag has done a lot of good for the online world – most SEO spammers won’t bother posting irrelevant links to blogs or forum posts if they know they won’t get to publish a follow link. WordPress automatically assigns the no follow link attribute to all user-submitted links, and Wikipedia does the same for its reference section. Writing for humans is just the first part of your SEO strategy and one that works with our next tactic, namely giving visitors what they want. As well as great quality content you need a website that is easy to use and provides a great user experience – in other words, don’t make your visitors think. If your website is hard to navigate, information is difficult to find or the design is too busy then visitors are unlikely to stick around no matter how well written your content is.
